Sarah is from Brighton and pursued her music studies in Cardiff after being awarded a scholarship to attend the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since graduating Sarah has enjoyed a varied career as a chamber, orchestral, session musician and teacher, performing with many of today’s leading artists from across the genre.

As an orchestral musician Sarah has worked as an extra player for many orchestras including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, National Symphony Orchestra, and London Gala Orchestra. She has toured with Claire Martin MBE, Katherine Jenkins, Vittorio Griggolo, and Kanye West, supported Ben Folds Five with band Bitter Ruin, and has appeared on The Pop Factory, The Brits and The Royal Variety Performance. Sarah is a keen chamber musician and performs regularly with the Montpellier Cello Quartet. They explore a variety of music for cello, and have enjoyed touring and recording with jazz singer Claire Martin MBE.

Sarah has been taught by Adrian Shepherd MBE, Douglas Cummings, Penny Driver, and has had masterclasses with Steven Doane, Alban Gerhardt, Pal Banda, and Robert Cohen. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music, Post-Graduate Diploma, was made Junior Fellow in Chamber Music RWCMD 2004-2005, whilst also being awarded the Ernest and Doris Haighes Memorial Award, the Principal’s Award, and the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Silver Medal. Sarah is extremely grateful to the Instrument Loans Fund for a grant towards her bow.
