The Corelli Ensemble is delighted to welcome you to their 2018-19 season of concerts, featuring an international array of soloists, including the Corelli Ensemble’s new President, the legendary soprano, Dame Felicity Lott.

The season opens with two Celebrity Concerts, featuring Dame Felicity Lott and tenor, Paul Austin Kelly. Later in the season, our wonderful oboist, Owen Dennis, and prize-winning guitarist, Paul Gregory will be performing concertos by Marcello and Vivaldi.

This year’s theme is “Sussex Composers” with beautiful music by Paul Lewis, Peter Copley, and the first performance of a work specially written for the Corelli Ensemble by Ed Hughes called “Flint”. Other highlights of this season are Bach’s energetic Brandenburg Concerto no 3, Grieg’s joyful Holberg Suite, and a programme of English music including “The Lark Ascending”, to be performed by the Corelli Ensemble’s musical director, Maeve Jenkinson. There will be a Christmas concert, with the Snowman Suite by Howard Blake, and a special Bonus concert on St Patrick’s Day with three double concertos performed by members of the Corelli Ensemble, along with some Irish Mist!

Now in it’s 30th year, the Corelli Ensemble remains committed to bringing accessible, high quality Classical concerts to young and old in Sussex.

Corelli Ensemble concerts last an hour, making them perfect for all ages and refreshments are served afterwards where the audience is welcome to meet the performers. So do come along to a truly inspirational season of concerts and enjoy uplifting live music with the Corelli Ensemble.

This year the Corelli Ensemble will be raising money to help fund a new Festival of the Arts called “From the Landscape” to be held in South Hill Barn on Seaford Headland in July 2019.
